Executive Management

Cathie Mostovoy, Chief Executive Officer

Woodcraft Rangers’ Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the management of the organization, including fundraising, program implementation, fiscal oversight, public relations, advocacy, and marketing.  Cathie Mostovoy draws on over twenty years’ experience delivering and administering educational services, and holds a B.A. in Child Development and a Masters Degree in Educational Counseling.  Her professional memberships include: Los Angeles Partnership for After School Enrichment (LA PASE), California School-Age Consortium, American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, American Camping Association, and various school-community partnerships.  She recently served as a City Ambassador for the Center for Disease Control’s “VERB – It’s what you do” National Media Campaign to increase physical activity among “tweens” (9-13 year olds).

 

Truitt White, Director of Staff Development

Truitt White, Director of Staff Development, holds a B.A. with concentration in Special Education and an M.Sc. in educational administration.  He has over 30 years experience as an education administrator, teacher, tutor, educational consultant and teacher trainer. He has worked in a wide array of educational capacities (teacher, director, administrator and consultant), institutions (public, private, for profit and non-profit), cultures (urban; rural; Native American; Asian; Western; western, southern and northeastern states of the U.S. and central and northern Pacific Islands)  and countries (Canada, Columbia, India and Marshall Islands).


Pablo Garcia, Director of Operations

The Director of Operations is responsible for program administration, logistics, operational systems and program evaluations to ensure that the agency’s youth development philosophy and policies are adhered to.  Pablo Garcia brings 10 years experience, across diverse milieu such as after school, residential, and in-school programs to WR.  Pablo holds a B.A. in Psychology and a M.A. in Education.  Mr. Garcia has also worked as a trainer and organizer for the HIV/AIDS service provider community in Los Angeles.  As a professional performance artist, he has produced work that deals with art and community organizing at museums such as the Schirn in Frankfurt, the ICA in London, the Andy Warhol Museum, the Baltimore Museum of Art, LACE in Hollywood, and the Hammer at UCLA.
