Spring Spectacular Photography Exhibits

Woodcraft Rangers holds events throughout the year to highlight and celebrate youth achievement and to raise funds to support programs.

Fall Fest

Fall Fest – A Night of Fun & Games is Woodcraft Rangers’ premiere annual fundraising event. The event is designed to thank supporters, recognize contributions to the positive social development, education, and welfare of Los Angeles youth, and raise funds for the agency’s programs. The Fall Fest event includes cocktails, passed hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, awards presentations, dinner, and an array of casino games.  All proceeds raised from the event benefit Woodcraft Rangers’ after school and camping programs.

Spring Spectacular

Woodcraft Rangers’ annual Spring Spectacular, a youth recognition event, gives families an opportunity to see their children shine. Through exhibits, demonstrations, contests and performances, children are given a chance to showcase their skills and accomplishments.  Competitive tournaments, live entertainment, carnival games, arts & crafts, great food, and exciting prizes draw hundreds of youth and their families to Woodcraft Rangers' Spring Spectacular.

Photography Exhibits

Now in its eighth year, Woodcraft Rangers’ traveling photography exhibits showcase the outstanding work of youth who participate in the Nvision After School Photography Program.  Participating students submit their most visually stunning and creative images to be judged at the Curator for a Day event. The top twenty-five images are professionally matted and framed to go on exhibit at various venues throughout the Los Angeles area.

Curator for a Day

The Curator for a Day event gives artists and friends of Woodcraft Rangers an opportunity to choose 25 photographs from a collection of over 100 images to be included in the annual Photography Exhibit.  In addition to curating the exhibit, participants have the opportunity to meet the young photographers, enjoy refreshments and live music, and purchase photographs to support positive, creative enrichment for youth.

Spirit Jam

The Spirit Jam Dance Competition, held annually in the spring, gives students who participate in Woodcraft Rangers’ After School Dance Club Teams a public forum to perform their choreographed 3-minute dance routines in front of families, peers, and a distinguished panel of honorary judges.  Over 20 dance teams competed in last year’s event.
